Restricted Traffic Zone
Using whitelists, this solution controls access to restricted traffic zones such as car-free areas, one-way streets, school zones and industrial sites. When a license plate is recognized, the system checks it against active whitelists and either flags a violation or grants access by automatically triggering physical access systems such as bollards or barrier gates.
This solution offers easy whitelist management based on license plate, vehicle type and time schedules, and integrates seamlessly with existing access systems via the M³ platform.
Low Emission Zone (LEZ)
This solution controls access to Low Emission Zones, by detecting vehicles that breach emission standards or lack valid permits. It compares the emission level of each recognized vehicle, identified via its license plate through a connection to the vehicle registration database, with predefined access rules.
Violations are flagged for authorities, ensuring enforcement against unauthorized entries and helping to improve air quality and public health in urban areas.
Rat Running
By calculating travel time, this solution detects drivers taking illegal shortcuts through restricted areas, such as residential neighborhoods and school zones, endangering children, pedestrians and cyclists and reducing overall liveability.
Because our smart cameras can recognize not only license plates but also other vehicle characteristics, such as vehicle class, make, and model, our solution can specifically monitor trucks taking illegal shortcuts.
