ONVIF is an open industry forum that seeks standardization to allow different IP-based products to communicate with each other. The idea behind ONVIF is that it simplifies the connection for other devices on the network. 

There are different profiles covering different functionalities. At Macq, we have decided that we want to be profile S compliant. This means that the video streams of our camera can be consulted in an onvif profile S compliant video management system. An example is the Milestone video management system.
