There are recently 2 new section controls active in Wallonia. This brings the total to 3, while there are more than a hundred active in Flanders.
The VIAS Institute conducted a study on the effectiveness of these section controls in Flanders and the results are astounding. The places where section controls are active have seen a reduction of no less than 80% in speed violations and 60% in serious accidents.
