Minister Sven Gatz visits Macq

July 25 Open Vld visit

On July 25, the Brussels Minister of Finance, Budget, Civil Service, Multilingualism and Flemish education Sven Gatz, came to visit Macq! He was accompanied by Quentin van den Hove, deputy mayor of Schaarbeek.

Mr Gatz and Mr van den Hove visited a number of medium-sized companies and start-ups, guided here at Macq by Jean-François Coppieters and Nicolas Braun.

These corporate visits organised by Open Vld are an opportunity for the Minister and his team to find out in greater detail what is happening in our companies in Brussels. They also give companies the opportunity to explain what they are working on daily and what their plans and objectives are for the future.

Minister Gatz was impressed by our camera and software technologies and what could be achieved with them.

The QCAM's all work with our in-house software, which brings together a very large number of applications with a wide range of potential uses, all of which can be combined.

This software links all the cameras of a customer or a community together and can be used to create networks of a new dimension, operating automatically and intelligently thanks to Machine Learning and AI.

A large, united network could prove to be very useful, as it would be able to act autonomously and be much more efficient. This might require several communities to work together, but it would support our common goal of ensuring greater safety for our fellow citizens and preventing road accidents.

We were delighted to welcome Brussels Minister Gatz and Deputy Mayor van den Hove from Schaarbeek. Their visit is proof of their commitment to local concerns in the Brussels region, and to the companies and new technologies that develop in our capital every year.
