Macq Launches a New Mobility Project in Paris After 18-Month Selection Process

We are proud to share a major milestone in Macq’s international development: our selection for a paid Proof of Concept (POC) by the city of Paris, following an intensive 18-month competitive process. This achievement highlights both our technical expertise and our growing presence in the European smart mobility landscape.

A Step Forward for Mobility Innovation

The POC aims to demonstrate how our advanced QCAM3 technology can support Paris in its vision for safer, more efficient urban mobility. This collaborative initiative is divided into two key phases:

  • Phase 1: The installation of four QCAM3 smart cameras along the Boulevard Périphérique—the city’s primary ring road. These devices will collect real-time data on vehicle count and classification, offering Paris valuable insights into traffic flow patterns.
  • Phase 2: Deployment of smart cameras within the urban core, where space and infrastructure constraints pose greater challenges. Here, the system will run on SLAT battery packs connected to electric poles, providing flexible and efficient installation even in complex environments.

To enhance usability, Macq's Integration Team developed a lightweight script that allows traffic data to be automatically visualized via an FTP server. This means simplified access to live data for city planners and public officials, ensuring more informed decision-making.

A Strategic Collaboration for a Smarter Capital

This Proof of Concept represents a strategic opportunity to prove the adaptability and precision of our QCAM solution in one of Europe’s largest cities. Should the pilot be successful, it could pave the way for a broader rollout across Paris, contributing to safer roads and better quality of life for residents.

At Macq, we remain committed to building smart, human-centered solutions that support cities in their transition to sustainable and intelligent mobility.

👏 Congratulations to all the teams who contributed to bringing this exciting project to life!
